The candidate for this position will provide Software Installation Engineering support to
the Software Engineering Directorate’s Aviation Automated Logistics team. This teams supported
projects include Aviation Data Exploitation Capability (ADEC), Aircraft Notebook (ACN),
Aviation Logistics Environment-Platform (ALE-P) and other Aviation Automated Logistics projects.
The Software Installation Engineer will be responsible for planning, developing, and testing
software installations and configurations for high availability information systems and their
system prerequisites in U.S. Army garrison and tactical environments. Will work closely
with system engineers and testers and software developers during product development
lifecycle. Once the system is fielded, the selected candidate will also be responsible for
maintaining the installations including major and minor upgrades, software patches,
security settings, system customizations, services, and system configurations.
The Software Installation Engineer will ensure Army IAVA compliance and Army Net
worthiness initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is required.
· 4+ years of related experience is required.
· An additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Required Skills:
· Candidate must have experience in the Windows Security Engineering domain.
· Must have self-managed experience with project planning and scheduling.
· Candidate must have extensive network and system administration experience.
· Experience ensuring DoD STIG compliance.
· Candidate must have programming/scripting experience for developing installation.
· Ability to work under strict time frames to meet both internal and external deadlines and customer expectations.
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be able to manage own work and be able to balance multiple projects.
· Ability to adapt quickly to new processes.
· Candidate must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Desired Skills:
· Multi Tier Disk development experience highly desired.
· Experience in the software development lifecycle, preferably in the .NET environment.
· Provide support to DIACAP Certification process.
· Experience with SQL Server database administration and integrating databases during installation.
· Direct customer support with Army soldiers.
· Windows Pre-Installation Environment experience is desired.
· Solidcore/HBSS experience is preferred.
· Experience with System Test and Acceptance Testing is a plus.
· CMM level III or higher experience preferred.
· Army aviation domain knowledge preferred.
